After several days of demonstrations, China has announced several relaxations in the restrictions imposed for the prevention of Covid-19. This includes the rule of applying the rules of lockdown to a building or its particular floor instead of the entire district or area. Under the new rules, people found infected with the corona virus will be able to stay in quarantine at home instead of being admitted to hospitals or facilities set by the government. Apart from this, offline classes can be started in schools where no case of infection has been found.
These concessions have been given in view of the demonstrations in various cities of China regarding the strict Zero Covid policy. Protesters say that due to these restrictions, which have been in force in the country for three years, normal life, travel and employment have been affected, as well as the economy has also been affected. This relaxation related to Covid-19 given to people in China also includes that now people will not need Covid test to go to most of the places. However, RTPCR test has been made mandatory for schools and hospitals.
China on the way to end zero covid policy
In China, if there are no more cases of corona in schools, then the schools will remain open. These changes in China are being seen as a step towards the end of China’s Zero Covid policy. People in social media say that even in China, people will live the same way as people are living with the corona virus in other countries of the world. On the one hand, while most of the people of China are expressing happiness over the decision to relax these restrictions, some people believe that due to the removal of these restrictions, there will be an increase in the cases of corona in the country. Many elders can now come under the grip of corona.
Now these will be the new rules
However, despite this, some restrictions will continue in China. Earlier, if a case of corona virus infection came to the fore, then a lockdown was imposed in the entire city or the entire surrounding area. But now if there is a case of corona virus infection, then only that place will be closed. For example, lockdown will be imposed in the building, unit or floor itself. Whatever be the high risk areas, if no new Covid case comes there, then after five days the lockdown and other restrictions will be lifted. Under the new rules, fire exits and other routes in buildings will no longer be closed. This has been done because there were reports that due to the spread of corona virus infection, the entire building itself is closed. In such a situation, people were not able to get medical help and emergency help.
