China building highways near border: Report

Amid the prolong military stand-off between India and China at the border, China has started construction of highays and roads near eastern.

“The Chinese Army has started building new highways in the Aksai Chin area opposite the eastern Ladakh sector. Their connectivity as well as the response time to reach the Line of Actual Control is much shorter than ever before,” according to India Today sources.

"China's military infrastructure upgrade is significant as they are widening highways and constructing new air strips, apart from the main bases in Kashgar, Gar Gunsa and Hotan," as quoted by India Today.

Earlier during a last round of talks between India and China, India expressed its concerns over China's latest builup at the border.
