CM Yogi Adityanath Extends Greetings on International Women’s Day 2026, Emphasises Women Empowerment

CM Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh, extended his heartfelt greetings to women and residents of the state on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

In a message shared on social media, the Chief Minister congratulated the maternal power of society (Matri Shakti) and conveyed his best wishes to the people of the state. He said that the dignity, safety and self-reliance of women form the foundation of a strong nation.

Emphasises Women Empowerment

Adityanath highlighted that under the leadership of the double-engine government, women are increasingly participating in various sectors, contributing actively to the progress of society. He noted that the growing involvement of women in different fields is giving new direction and energy to the nation’s development.

The Chief Minister also called upon citizens to strengthen their resolve toward empowering women and ensuring their safety and respect in every sphere of life.

He further emphasised that the state government has been continuously working to improve opportunities for women through various welfare schemes, skill development initiatives and safety measures. According to him, ensuring education, employment and security for women remains a key priority for the government.

Adityanath added that when women become empowered and self-reliant, it strengthens families, communities and ultimately the nation. He said the progress of society is closely linked to the advancement and respect of women in every field.

International Women’s Day is celebrated globally every year on March 8, recognising the achievements, rights and contributions of women across social, economic and political fields. The occasion is marked by messages of support and initiatives aimed at advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment across India and the world.
