US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping, who arrived in Bali for the G-20 summit, discussed for three hours. It is believed that after the talks between the two leaders, there will be a change in the relations between China and America. However, according to media reports, strict comments were made about Taiwan from both sides. Joe Biden told Jinping that the action of the attack on Taiwan had disturbed the peace. At the same time, Jinping also said that America should not cross the ‘red line’ on the matter of Taiwan. Both the countries have huge space to develop and compete.

China’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying, “In view of the current situation, the heads of state of both China and America discussed mutual interests. According to reports, Xi said, Beijing does not want to challenge the US. Neither one wants change on international issues. Respect for each other is necessary from both the sides.’

Xi told Biden, the issue of Taiwan is very important for China. It remains a hindrance in relations between China and the US. In order to maintain good relations, the red line should not be crossed in the case of Taiwan. According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Xi Jinping said that the issue of Taiwan is limited to China only.

The two leaders also discussed the Ukraine crisis. Xi told Biden that he was also concerned about the war because no one becomes a winner in a war. China wants peace and it is trying only for peace talks.

At the same time, Biden told the Chinese President that the two countries should work together on climate change, health and food security, economic stability. Biden has also raised the issue of human rights in Tibet and Hong Kong. Biden also said that China should maintain the status quo on Taiwan and not try to make any unilateral changes. He also raised the issue of American citizens held captive in China.
