US President Joe Biden's mistake at the ASEAN summit. Joe Biden said thanks to Colombia instead of Cambodia.
During Asean summit in Cambodia, Biden thanks host PM of ‘Colombia’
“Now that we're back together here in Cambodia, I look forward to building even stronger progress than we've already made, and I want to thank the Prime Minister of Colombia for his leadership as ASEAN chair and for hosting all of us.” Joe Biden said. He said while alluding to the 10-nation regional bloc's current chair, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.
It's worth mentioning that it comes weeks after Biden was trolled for slipping up on Rishi Sunak’s name. He slipped Rishi Sunak name in a speech praising the new Prime Minister’s appointment as a ‘groundbreaking moment’.
Biden said, “Just today, we’ve got news that ‘Rashid Sanook’ is now the prime minister.”
Biden was speaking during a ceremony at the White House marking the Hindu festival of Diwali.
