Elon Musk: Tesla CEO Declares Himself “Chief Twit” as He Enters the Twitter Office Carrying a Kitchen Sink

Elon Musk: The CEO of Tesla, has been very active on the microblogging site and recently changed his bio to provide a cryptic update to his followers. He has altered his bio to read “Chief Twit” this time. It is more likely a reference to him ultimately deciding to take over the top position of the microblogging site and close the $44 billion deal, even though the Oxford Dictionary defines “twit” as “a dumb person.”
Apparently clutching what looks like a kitchen sink, Musk entered the Twitter office, if stories are to be believed. Let that sink in!

Musk reportedly promised to conclude the $44 billion acquisition of Twitter by Friday, October 28. In his most recent ruling, Kathaleen St. Jude McCormick, the head of the Delaware Chancery Court Chancellor, handed Musk and Twitter a last deadline of October 28 to complete the transaction. He was going to have a legal fight with the microblogging site if he couldn’t finalise the contract.

Why did Musk’s Twitter agreement become contentious?

Since Musk announced his plan to purchase a 100% share in Twitter on the first day, events have taken several unexpected turns.

At first, it was assumed that the agreement between the richest man in the world and one of the most powerful social media sites was reached indifferently. Musk has, however, raised concerns about the bogus accounts on Twitter, where the majority of the controversy has taken place. He frequently used Twitter to express regret over buying the platform.
According to reports, Twitter promised to divulge all of its data on spam “bots accounts”—automated accounts that frequently spread fraud and false information—in June 2021. Musk abandoned the agreement after learning the data. Musk refuted Twitter’s assertions that it has 229 million accounts, of which less than 5% are phoney or automated accounts, and stated that the number is at least 20%. Musk made this claim without providing any supporting documentation.

Problematic week for Musk

Both sides eventually ended themselves in court earlier this month, where Musk urged a US judge to put an end to a forthcoming trial. As the negotiations between the two parties have been ongoing, Musk requested that the tribunal put an end to the planned Delaware court trial. Although the Tesla CEO revived the buyout offer, he claimed that his company required more time to arrange financing. The microblogging site, however, thinks Musk’s arguments were a bluff and were meant to stall the court case.
According to Kathaleen St. Jude McCormick, the Chancellor of the Delaware Chancery Court, Musk and Twitter have until October 28 to complete the transaction.
