Fresh advisory to Indian nationals in Sudan amid violence

The Indian Embassy in Khartoum, Sudan has issued an advisory to all Indian nationals living there in view of several incidents of looting. Fierce fighting has broken out between the army and paramilitary forces in Sudan. In the advisory issued by the Indian Embassy, ​​it has been said that many incidents of looting have come to the fore. In such a situation, the common people have been advised by the embassy to make arrangements for adequate ration material. This situation may continue in the next few days. Try to get help from your neighbors. Stay at your homes and stay safe.

Clashes broke out between the main paramilitary forces and the armed forces in several parts of the country, including the capital Khartoum. About 25 people have died in this. While 183 people have been injured. It is feared that the death toll may increase. A coup d’état situation has arisen in the country. At the same time, the paramilitary force has claimed possession of Rashtrapati Bhavan. In fact, the long-standing conflict between military leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and his number two paramilitary commander Mohammed Hamdan Daglo has taken a violent turn.

The Sudanese Doctors’ Union said 183 people were injured in fighting between the army and the Rapid Support Force (RSF). Along with Khartoum, the maximum number of deaths have been recorded in the cities of Omdurman, Nyala, El Obeid and El Fasher. These cities are west of the capital Khartoum.

At the same time, the paramilitary force Rapid Support Force ie RSF has claimed to have seized the presidential palace, the army chief’s residence, the state television station, the capital Khartoum, the northern city of Merowe, El Fasher and the airport in West Darfur. However, the army has rejected these claims.
