Joe Kent: The director of the National Counterterrorism Centre has resigned from his services with immediate effect saying that the ongoing Iran war was unwarranted. Kent went on to remark that the United States initiated the war only under the influence of Israel and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a post on X, Joe remarked that the Islamic Republic of Iran posed no urgent threat to the United States of America. The far-right military veteran distanced himself from the “mindless” policies of President Trump in what was seen by many as public humility for the Trump administration.
Kent remarked in his X post that several influential American media members and high-ranking Israeli officials utilized misinformation campaigns to initiate a war with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Who Was Shannon M. Kent?
Shannon M. Kent, the first wife of Joe Kent, was one of the four Americans who were killed in January 2019 in Syria. The 35-year-old chief cryptologic technician was killed on the line of duty on January 16 in a suicide bomb blast by ISIS in the Syrian city of Manbij.
Posthumously, Shannon was promoted to the position of Senior Chief and received a series of medals, including the Defence Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and a Combat Action Ribbon.
In 2003, Shannon enlisted in the United States Navy and graduated from the Illinois boot camp before she was assigned to different bases across the United States.
