Joe Biden has made a surprise visit to Ukraine and announced new military aid and fresh rounds of sanctions to placate and support embattled Ukrainian leader. This is the first visit of Joe Biden to a war zone as President.
Biden announces new military aid to Ukraine and fresh round of sanctions on Russia
During the visit Biden an aid package worth $ 500 million which includes artillery ammunition , more javelins and Howitzers.
The US President had also stated that his Government “would announce additional sanctions against elites and companies that are trying to evade or backfill Russia’s war machine”.
Biden also declared with Zelensky standing by his side that,
“would announce additional sanctions against elites and companies that are trying to evade or backfill Russia’s war machine”. The gravy train tap for arms supply has been opened by United States as a gesture of solidarity and it comes a day before one year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
