Myanmar helicopter attack kills seven children

Military helicopters attacked a school and a village in Myanmar. 13 people including 7 children have died in this attack. Apart from this, there are also reports of many injured. The school administrator and a support worker gave this information on Monday. It is being told that more than 15 people have been injured in this attack. The attack took place on Friday in the Let Yacht Kon village of Tabayin, about 110 km from Mandalay, the country’s second largest city.

A school administrator said two of the four Mi-35 helicopters hovering north of the village started attacking the school with machine guns and heavy weapons, trying to move the students to safer places in classrooms on the ground floor. He said six students died at the school and a 13-year-old boy was also shot dead in a nearby village.

After the coup carried out by the army in Myanmar in February 2021, the situation there is deteriorating continuously. Even in Myanmar, the situation of economic crisis like Sri Lanka and Pakistan is being created. Here too there has been a sharp decrease in foreign exchange reserves. Its foreign debt has increased due to restrictions imposed by Western countries after the February 2021 coup and the Covid epidemic has badly affected the country’s economy.

Thousands of people are leaving the country. There people are taking refuge in India. Thousands of people have entered Mizoram in India so far. Last month, a local leader of Mizoram gave this information. Jokhawthar Village Council President Lalmuanpuia told news agency PTI that hundreds of people from Myanmar have entered Mizoram since Sunday.
