Pakistan Connection Emerges in Deadly Bondi Beach Shooting Incident, World Leaders Condemn

Father-son shooters of Pakistani origin attack Bondi Beach during a Jewish festival. 15 dead, 40 injured; police continue investigation into motives.

During the Chanukah by the Sea event in Sydney, Australia’s Bondi Beach, a father and son of Pakistani descent started shooting, killing 15 people and injuring more than 40 others. People all over Australia and the world have condemned the terrible event.

The Start of the Attack

The shooting happened at a Hanukkah party with about 1,000 people. Witnesses said that there was a lot of fear and chaos as people tried to get to safety while shots were heard for a few minutes. Emergency services quickly got to the scene, got people out who were hurt, and gave them medical help.

Suspects Found

The people who were shot were Sajid Akram, who is 50 years old, and his son Naveed Akram, who is 24 years old. Sajid, who moved from Pakistan in 1998, was killed in a shootout with the police, and Naveed, who was born in Australia, was badly hurt and taken to the hospital.

Heroic Acts

During the terrible event, Ahmed al Ahmed, a local fruit shop owner, was brave and tackled one of the shooters, stopping more people from getting hurt. Many people have praised his brave intervention, and over A$200,000 has been raised by a fundraising page to thank him for being a hero.

Victims and Effects

The victims were between 10 and 87 years old, and Rabbi Eli Schlanger, one of the festival’s planners, was among them. A lot of people are still in the hospital, and some of them are critically ill. To help people deal with the stress, officials are offering counselling.

Response from world leaders condemned the attack

The Bondi Beach massacre has led to criticism from leaders around the world, raising fears about public safety even in places with strict gun control. Officials in Australia have promised to make security stronger at big public events.
