Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the growing excitement for International Yoga Day 2025, commending Andhra Pradesh's initiative #Yogandhra2025 as a “commendable effort” to popularize yoga. He expressed eagerness to join the celebrations in Andhra Pradesh on June 21.

“I call upon all of you to mark Yoga Day and also make Yoga a regular part of your lives,” the Prime Minister said on X.

Peaceful Power at Puligundu Hills

As part of the month-long build-up to International Day of Yoga (IDY), over 2,000 yoga enthusiasts gathered at the iconic Puligundu Twin Hills near Chittoor. Towering at nearly 1,000 feet, the rock formation served as a serene and symbolic backdrop to Andhra Pradesh’s ambitious yoga campaign.

The event was part of efforts led by the state and supported by various public figures, including Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav, who shared images of the large gathering and emphasized the peaceful energy of the movement.

The upcoming Yoga Day celebrations in Andhra Pradesh are expected to be among the largest in the country.
