PM Modi Israel Visit: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has remarked that the country along with long-time ally Israel has significantly elevated their bilateral and mutually-beneficial relationship to the status of an exceptional strategic partnership.
PM Modi also remarked that this historic decision truly reflects the aspirations of citizens of both Israel and India whose relationship is based on humanitarian bonds, shared democratic values and deep trust.
PM Modi Israel Visit-Joint Press Briefing
The Indian Prime Minister with his Israeli counterpart commented in a joint press briefing that Israel and India have discussed new directions and greater momentum to the two nations’ relationship going forward. The discussion covered a series of areas, including but not limited to water, agriculture, cybersecurity, innovation, technology, defence, security, trade, terrorism, peace, health, education, people-to-people exchanges, connectivity and investment.

A joint statement issued in Jerusalem stated that the two leaders (Modi and Netanyahu) have noted the massive progress made in the bilateral relationship across a wide range of domain.
Foreign secretary Vikram Misri remarked the United States and Iran tensions as well as the overall regional situation were discussed between Modi and Netanyahu.
Misri remarked Prime Minister Modi reiterated the firm belief of India in the importance of dialogue and pursuing all possible peaceful solutions to all such issues. Misri also commented that PM Modi also reiterated the readiness of India as a nation and Israel’s long-term ally to offer its full support for a peaceful and amicable solution of all issues.
FTA On Cards
During the India and Israel meet, 18 17 memoranda of understanding or agreements along with 100 other announcements were made. At the press briefing, Modi remarked the ties between India and Israel have stood the test of time. Modi remarked both countries would soon finalize a mutually-beneficial free trade agreement.
The ever-growing ties between India and Israel would hurt Pakistan and China in countless ways.
