PM Modi in Egypt: ANI says PM Modi met top Yoga instructors in Egypt on Saturday. Mr Modi is in Egypt as part of his two-day official visit to that country.

The ANI report says that Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Reem Jabak and Nada Adel in Cairo. He encouraged them to visit India and also applauded them for their initiatives on yoga.

One of the yoga instructors told ANI, “It is great to see that despite his busy schedule, he still had time to address Yoga and its importance to Egypt and all around the world.”

Jabak added,”I was very impressed that how he is very keen about the Yoga community in Egypt and how he aspires to bring more intellectuality and information to the Yoga community in Egypt. All religions in the world come from peace and this is something I have learnt from Yoga. “

Reem Jabak has more than 11,000 followers on Instagram and describes herself as a yoga teacher and an Air Yoga instructor.

Nada Adel is an Egyptian actress and a yoga enthusiast. She has 2,40, 000 followers on Instagram.

International Yoga Day

Prime Minister Modi began his US state visit by attending the International Yoga Day in New York on June 21. This was a record-breaking event because Yoga Day had the most number of internal participants so far.

Mr Modi has often emphasized the importance of yoga in our daily lives. He was instrumental in encouraging the UN to include Yoga Day in its annual calendar.

Importance of Egypt to India

Both countries have signed the India-Egypt Bilateral Trade Agreement which has been in operation since March 1978. This agreement is based on the Most Favoured Nation clause.

The bilateral trade between India and Egypt was more than $7.2 billion in 2021-2022.
