R’Bonney Gabriel of USA wins Miss Universe 2022 crown; Venezuela’s Amanda Dudamel, Dominican Republic’s Andreina Martinez runners-up

Miss Universe 2022: USA’s R'Bonney Gabriel has won the Miss Universe 2022 title! She was crowned by Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu at the grand finale of the 71st edition of Miss Universe. The event was held in New Orleans, USA, on January 15.

R'Bonney Gabriel dazzled in a sparkling crystal-embellished gown at the finale event. She styled the outfit with statement jewels.

Venezuela’s Amanda Dudamel first runner-up

While Venezuela’s Amanda Dudamel was the first runner-up, Dominican Republic’s Andreina Martinez was the second runner-up in the 71st edition of the pageant. Over 80 contestants competed for the title. India’s contestant Divita Rai from Karnataka made it to the top 16.

Harnaaz Sandhu, who won Miss Universe title for India after almost a decade in 2021, glowed in a dazzling black gown with an ornate train as she crowned her successor. She also rocked a traditional lehenga as she made an appearance on the stage at the grand finale.

Total 84 determined women from diverse background competed at the spectacular grand finale event.

Hosts Jeannie Mai Jenkins and Olivia Culpo presented 71ST Miss Universe Grand Finale while Cateriona Gray and Juri Hall were the backstage commentators.

In the 10-day pageant, various activities including beautiful National Costume Competition, rounds of interviews and a preliminary competition were held before the grand finale.
