Titan submersible: The search for Titan submersible has been sped as banging sounds at interval of 30 minutes were detected by Sonar. The tourist vessel used for exploration of RMS Titanic wreckage had disappeared on June 18. According to a report by CNN even after installation of additional sonar devices it was not clear when it was heard or for how long. A Canadian P-8 aircraft involved in the search "heard banging sounds in the area every 30 minutes". of additional sonar devices. The newly relocated searches by ROV(remotely operated vehicles) after this develpment yielded no results but it will continue the effort. Around 25,900 square kilometers have reportedly been searched so far.
What is being done to locate tourists
The discovery prompted search teams to relocate their underwater robotic search operations "in an attempt to explore the origin of the noises," the Coast Guard tweeted on Wednesday. The nature and origin of sounds is still not clear to the rescuing authorities. The US has also employed use of three C-17s aircraft to transport a commercial submersible and support equipment from New York to help with the search operation. The US Navy has gathered data from Canadian aircraft to efficiently plan future operations to carry out search.

Prominent personalities on board
Among the five people onboard is British billionaire and CEO of Dubai-based Action Aviation, Hamish Harding. Pakistani billionaire businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood are also on board. Prominent French diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet is 5th occupant of submersible that went missing on June 18.
