Suicide Bombing Near Jamaat-e-Islami Leader convoy, Injuries Reported, Siraj ul Haq Safe

Pakistan: In Zhob, Balochistan, on Friday, a suicide bombing was carried out close to the vehicle of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Siraj ul Haq.

Multiple Injured in Suicide Bombing near Jamaat-e-Islami Leader

According to early accounts, the incident injured at least five persons. Siraj ul Haq, however, is secure. Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) claimed on its official Twitter account that its leader is safe and the assailant was slain.

Jamaat-e-Islami Leader Targeted in Suicide Bombing During Political Rally in Zhob

‘JI emir Siraj arrived in Quetta today but had to go farther to Zhob, where he is attending a political rally today. “A person came and blew himself up as people were welcoming him as he entered Zhob,’ party spokesman Faisal Sharif said in a video message.
