Tragic end for Miss Universe Australia finalist Sienna Weir, dies at 23 after horse riding accident

Sienna Weir: Sienna Weir, a finalist for Miss Universe Australia, passed away on May 4 at the age of 23, according to reports. After being taken off life support following a horseback riding accident, Sienna passed away. An Australian news source claims that on April 2, Sienna was riding at the Windsor Polo Grounds in Sydney when her horse fell. She was taken by ambulance to Westmead Hospital, where she was kept alive for several weeks before she passed away.

Sienna Weir had Deep and unmoving love for show jumping

The beauty queen earlier revealed to Gold Coast Magazine that she had a "deep and unmoving love for show jumping." She earned a double degree in English literature and psychology from Sydney University. She said in September, 'I've been riding horses since I was three years old and I can't image my life without it. My family isn't entirely sure where this enthusiasm originated from. Every other weekend, I compete across New South Wales or the rest of Australia and commute two to three times a week to rural Sydney to train.'

Australian photographer Chris Dwyer paid tribute to Sienna Weir on social media

Following her passing, Sienna's frequent collaborator, Australian photographer Chris Dwyer, paid tribute to her on social media. He posted a picture of Sienna with the caption, "You were one of the kindest souls in the world, you lit up the room and the world is a lot darker now that you are gone," on his Instagram Stories. "Hope wherever you are, you're being the gremlin we all know and love. Miss you so much already."
