Trump sues Twitter, Facebook, Google and CEOs

Former President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that he is suing three of America’s largest tech companies, including Facebook, Twitter, and Google, as well as their CEOs.

Trump stated that he was the principal plaintiff in the class-action lawsuits, claiming that the firms had wrongfully restricted him.

“We’re demanding an end to the shadow-banning, a stop to the silencing and a stop to the blacklisting, banishing and canceling that you know so well,” Trump said at a news conference at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf course.

The lawsuits were filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

After his supporters stormed the Capitol building on Jan. 6, Trump was suspended from Twitter and Facebook. Concerns were raised by the companies that he might encourage more violence. He is currently unable to post on either platform.

Trump, who has a history of threatening legal action but not always following through, made the announcement at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, at 11 a.m. ET alongside two leaders from America First Policy Institute, the pro-Trump nonprofit group that is supporting the lawsuits.
