Two pilots onboard in a US Navy plane died after it crashed in a residential neighbourhood of Alabama, the US Navy informed.

"We are not aware of any civilian casualties this time. The incident is currently under investigation. The Navy is cooperating fully with local authorities," it said in another tweet.
US Naval Air Forces did not release the name of the deceased officers as officials wait until 24 hours after the next-of-kin is notified.
According to US media reports, the crash occurred near Mangolia School in Magnilia Springs after the plan hit a house and two crash.

Firefighters reached on the spot and stopped the fire quickly, preventing from further harm, Foley Fire Chief Joey Darby said.
The plane had departed from the Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Santa Rosa County, Fla., about 60 miles northeast of where it crashed, the official said. The two pilots in the plane were an instructor and a student, he added.
