As per the report of the Sun and Mail on Sunday newspaper, in a secret ceremony at Westminster Cathedral, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson married his fiancee Carrie Symonds.

A spokeswoman for Johnson’s Downing Street office declined to comment on the reports.

Work and Pensions Secretary Therese Coffey tweeted: “Congratulations @BorisJohnson and @carriesymonds on your marriage today”.

The Mail on Sunday reported that 30 guests were invited to the ceremony at short notice – the maximum number of attendees allowed under Covid restrictions in England.

Mr Johnson, 56, and 33-year-old Ms Symonds, an environmental campaigner, announced their engagement in February 2020 and have a son together, one-year-old Wilfred.

The marriage would be Ms Symonds’s first and Mr Johnson’s third. He has at least five other children from previous relationships.

Johnson’s last marriage was to Marina Wheeler, a lawyer. They had four children together but announced in September 2018 that they had separated.
