Shehbaz Sharif: In a global embarrassment yet again, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has become a laughing stock after an official statement issued by the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs contained a series of typographical errors.

Interestingly, the statement’s headline read, “Prime Minister’s Visit to the Unites States of Americas,” with the words “United” and “America” misspelled. The release by the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs detailed the visit of Sharif to USA at the invitation of Trump for attending the Board of Peace’s first session on February 19, 2026.
After receiving global backlash, the typographical errors have now been corrected.
Interestingly, Sharif was isolated, sidelined and humiliated at the first session of the Board of Peace. This was after Sharif called Trump the ‘man of peace’ and even referred him for the Nobel Peace Prize. However, Trump sidelined and marginalized him during the session. The Pakistani Prime Minister to his biggest surprise was relegated to the sidelines.
At one point in his speech, Trump gestured Sharif to “stand up” to which Sharif rose from his seat immediately. Many social media users called Sharif a puppet of Donald Trump. If this was not all, Trump openly showered praises on the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “very good friend” and a “great man.”
Past Controversies
Last year, Shehbaz Sharif became a laughing stock among Pakistani public and the world after he had written, “I condom the attack” instead of “I condemn the attack,” referring to the reported airstrikes by Israel on Iran.
Several social media users mocked the Pakistani Prime Minister. A user commented, “Cannot believe this joker is our country’s Prime Minister and is ridiculing new ways every day to belittle our nation.” Another user commented, “One joker our so-called and army puppet PM who is a puppet of all, even of Trump. God bless our nation.”
