UNSC: India blasted terror state Pakistan once again on the global platform of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) saying a country that jails its former Prime Minister (PM) and rewards a military dictator should stop teaching other countries.
India also called out Islamabad’s “obsessive focus on harming India and its people.”
Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, referenced Pakistan jailing its former PM Imran Khan and banning the then ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He also said Pakistan engineered a “constitutional coup” through the 27th amendment to grant lifetime immunity to Asim Munir, the Chief of Defense Forces.

India also thrashed the “unwarranted reference” of Pakistan to Jammu & Kashmir and its claim over the union territory at the United Nations Security Council Open Debate on “Leadership for Peace“.
Parvathaneni added India entered into the Indus Water Treaty in good faith and in a spirit of friendship and good will. He added but Pakistan has always violated the treaty’s spirit and inflicted thousands of terror attacks on India and, therefore, the treaty was cancelled by India.
Pakistan’s Internal Turmoil
Suhail Afridi, the Chief Minister of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, recently said that systematic efforts are ongoing to suppress the jailed former PM.
Afridi warned the federal government that the PTI party will return “either with freedom or in shrouds” if it heads to the D-Chowk of Islamabad again.
