As the high voltage drama continues in midst of US Presidential elections, Twitter Inc flagged a post by President Donald Trump on Thursday that said votes received after Election Day in the United States would not be counted.
Donald Trump criticised and attacked on the vote counting with a series of tweets that included false claims of “surprise ballout dumps.”
Twitter labelled on the tweets with a warning ““Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process,” Twitter said in its message. It also restricted users from sharing the tweet.
Trump also cast doubt on the process of counting remaining ballots in an early morning speech from the East Room of the White House.
A Twitter spokesperson said, “As votes are still being counted across the country, our teams continue to take enforcement action on Tweets that prematurely declare victory or contain misleading information about the election broadly. This is in line with our Civic Integrity Policy and our recent guidance on labeling election results.”
