In a statement, Netanyahu remarked that the United States of America has communicated to Israel that it is always committed with Israel to achieve joint goals that are shared by the United States, Israel and the regional allies of Israel.
Abbas Araghchi, the foreign minister of Iran, remarked that the passage of ships and oil tankers via the Strait of Hormuz would be permitted under the supervision of Iranian military. This possibly implies that Iran would continue to exercise control over the strategic Hormuz Strait and the temporary allowed passage would not stay valid for long. Under the proposed plan, it is likely that Oman and Iran would continue to charge fee on ships that transit via the strait. The Islamic Republic of Iran would probably be utilizing the “earned money” for reconstruction.
Has Lebanon Been Left Alone In Ceasefire Snub?
On March 2, Lebanon was pulled into the US Israel Iran war after Hezbollah started firing rockets towards cities in Israel. These attacks were meant to avenge the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the former Supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This followed massive strikes by Israel on Lebanon that displaced more than 1 million people and left more than 1500 dead.
