woman in France grew a nose on her arm for it to be transplanted on her face

In today’s time nothing seems impossible. The world has made so much progress in the field of science that nothing seems difficult. When people can reach the moon, life can be discovered on Mars, then nothing is impossible. Then whether it is about the human body. So many strange experiments have been done with the body as well. A similar experiment was recently done by a France woman. You will be surprised to know that the doctors have grown another nose on the hands of the woman.

Attempts was made to make a nose on the face

According to the news of ‘Daily Star’, in 2013, after several sessions of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the woman lost several parts of her face. These parts also included the woman’s nose. The doctors did not lose courage and several times tried to reconstruct the nose on the woman’s face. But even after several attempts, this treatment could not be successful.

After this the woman consulted the doctors and with the help of medical technology it was decided to grow a new nose on the arm of the woman. As strange as it sounds, it was equally difficult for this woman and doctors to take this decision.

3D printer support

To complete this difficult process, the team of doctors took the help of 3D printers. This helped the doctors to customize the shape of the nose. They designed the nose and used a printer to replace the cartilage and print the biomaterial. And then when the process was done, it was applied to the patient’s arm.

This nose is artificial, but it was given a standard human form. After this, the doctors left nose on arm for two months. After this, when the nose grew well, it was attached to the woman’s face.

This surgery was never done before

This surgery done in the month of September to connect the patient’s nose is such, which has never been done before today. Cervicofacial surgeons at Toulouse University Hospital and the Claudius Regaud Institute performed a complex surgery to connect the blood vessels in her face.

The hard work of doctors finally paid off

According to the news of the Evening Standard, this surgery and the hard work of the doctors finally paid off and this nose transplant could be done. The patient is now recovering after three weeks of being in the hospital for 10 days and taking antibiotics.
