Actress Parineeti and AAP’s Raghav Chadha, Chopra named ‘Outstanding Achievers’ in UK

Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) spokesperson Raghav Chadha, Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla and Indian women’s football team goalkeeper Aditi Chauhan were presented with the Distinguished Achievement Award in London.

‘India UK Outstanding Award’ was presented at a ceremony

The award is given by the National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU) UK in partnership with the British Council in India and the UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) to celebrate the achievements of Indian students studying in British universities.

To commemorate 75 years of India’s independence, the award was given to 75 high achievers and individuals who served as a bridge for the Indo-British community. “Fifteen years ago, I was a student at Manchester Business School, I was overweight, I was a struggling student, I had dreams of settling down in the UK,” Chopra said in her address at the ceremony.

Raghav has studied from London School of Economics

In his speech, Chadha, who studied at the London School of Economics, spoke of his “unhesitating spirit to serve India” as a national executive member of the Aam Aadmi Party. Poonawalla, who studied at the University of Westminster, was honored for her work in the field of vaccine development, and Aditi Chauhan, who studied at Loughborough University, was honored in the field of sports.
