Weather Update: Heavy rainfall has been wreaking havoc in Himachal Pradesh for the last 48 hours. The rainfall has resulted in damaged bridges, landslides, and blocked roads. Which has resulted in the deaths of almost 20 people in the state.
Himachal Pradesh CM Jairam Ramesh visited various areas to see the situation. On the other hand, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena also chaired a meeting to find a solution to waterlogging in Delhi.
Uttrakhand was also under the influence of heavy rainfall which resulted in the death of five pilgrims. Meanwhile, Amarnath yatra was also suspended once again as the Jammu-Srinagar national highway was closed for the fourth consecutive day.
Weather Update: Delhi
Due to excess rainfall, the water level of Yamuna rises to a dangerous level. The rail traffic over the Yamuna Bridge was temporarily suspended. Delhi is likely to face heavy rainfall for a week at least. The temperature for today will be 32 degrees to 27 degrees.
Mumbai
IMD has predicted that rain will intensify over the weekends till then light and moderate rainfall is expected in the city and suburbs. The lake level in Mumbai has risen to 23 percent. The temperature will be between 28 degrees and 27 degrees.
Chennai
Light to moderate rainfall is expected over the majority of Tamil Nadu this week. Chennai will also face light to moderate rainfall with chances of thunderstorms. The temperature will be between 34 degrees to 27 degrees.
Kolkata
There is no possibility of heavy rainfall in Kolkata for few day. The sky will remain cloudy but the temperature will also remain high. The maximum temperature of Kolkata is 33.1 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is 29.6 degrees Celsius.
