Power and real estate indexes increased by 2% and 4%, respectively, while metal, capital goods, and healthcare all had 0.4 percent gains. The selling, however, was evident in the names of the banking, oil and gas, and information technology industries. At closing, the Nifty was at 19,646 and the Sensex was down 106.62 points, or 0.16%, at 66,160.20. A total of 1774 shares increased, 1641 shares decreased, and 163 shares remained unchanged. On July 28, with the Nifty below 19,650, benchmark indices declined for the second straight session.

Yatharth Hospital IPO closes today
Investors responded well to Yatharth Hospital & Trauma Care Services’ initial public offering (IPO) on July 28, the final day of bidding, applying for 47.41 crore equity shares compared to the issue size of 1.65 crore shares and bidding 28.70 times.
High-net-worth people (non-institutional investors) purchased 32.54 times the authorised percentage, compared to retail investors who bid 7.37 times the limit.
