The Kerala government has extended the lockdown period on Friday to prevent the Corona. Till May 30, there will be a strict ban on the entire state. Earlier on May 16, the lockdown deadline was extended to May 23.
The lockdown has been in force since May 8 in Kerala. On 16 May, the lockdown was extended to 23 May. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also announced withdrawal of the triple lockdown measures implemented from May 16 in three districts – Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Thrissur.
However, “triple lockdown” will continue in Malappuram District.
Significantly, in India, after the arrival of 2,59,551 new cases of Covid-19 in one day, the number of infected in the country increased to 2,60,31,991. Less than three lakh new cases have been reported in the country for the fifth consecutive day.
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Friday at eight o’clock in the morning, after the death of 4,209 more people from Covid-19, the death toll rose to 2,91,331 .
