Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta now available for Phone (1) users, Details

The London-based business Nothing stated that the Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta is now accessible for all Phone (1) users, around ten days after the Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 for Phone (2) was released.

Nothing: Last week, Nothing published the stable version of Nothing OS 2.5 for the Phone 2. For its first smartphone, the Nothing Phone 1, the UK-based business financed by Carl Pei is now releasing the Nothing OS 2.5 open beta 1.

  • The page where you may customise the Home Screen and Lock Screen received an update. With an enhanced edit wallpaper flow, you now get a better view of your selections.
  • For a more minimalistic style and monochromatic colour scheme, they also included solid-color wallpapers.
  • More shortcut choices, such as Do Not Disturb, Mute, QR code scanner, and video camera, have now been introduced to the Lock Screen.
  • Personalise the power button by double-pressing it to rapidly access your preferred feature. This can be configured via the Settings > System > Gestures menu.
  • Even the level of your ringtone and notification sounds may now be adjusted independently.
  • They went on to refine the Weather app, improve the camera experience, and increase system stability overall.
  • A rapid screenshot may be taken by swiping three fingers, and further editing choices are available with the new editor.
  • Nothing OS 2.5 brings useful widgets. The Media Player Widget allows you to control your music on the move, the Pedometer Widget allows you to track your steps, and the Screen Time Widget lets you keep track of how much time you spend using your screen.

What did the company say?

According to the company, the Nothing OS 2.5 is its “most significant update since the launch of OS 2.0” and that it is “packed with exciting new features to make your smartphone experience as efficient and personal as possible.”
