Dombivli Blast: In a factory located in the Thane region of Maharastra‘s Dombivli, a boiler explosion resulted in a fire on Thursday. The chemical factory in Phase 2 of the Dombivli MIDC region is where the incident was reported.
Bursting Drums and Shattered Glass Add to Factory Fire Havoc
According to early reports, a major fire was started by the explosion of four boilers belonging to Amber Chemical Company. The fire caused chemical-filled drums to burst, smashing the factory’s glass panes. The houses nearby have also sustained damage as a result of the fire’s progress.
After being dispatched quickly, the fire brigades started combating the fire. There have not yet been any reported casualties from the incident. But the explosion and fire also caused injuries to a number of persons, some of whom are apparently critical.
Government Intervention
Ravindra Chavan, the Minister of Public Works (Excluding Public Undertakings) of Maharashtra, expressed regret for the tragedy and advised the locals not to panic. He claimed that the government has been requested to handle the fighting of the fires. The Minister added that anybody found guilty will face consequences after a full investigation into the incident.
