Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara is creating a storm at the box office. Featuring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film has already earned Rs 45 crore in just two days. The movie is likely to cross the Rs 50 crore mark by the end of its first weekend.

As per Sacnilk, the film opened strong on Friday with Rs 21 crore and witnessed further growth on Saturday, adding Rs 24 crore to its earnings. This sharp rise shows the audience’s growing interest in the film. On July 19, Saiyaara recorded an overall 44.74% Hindi occupancy, with evening shows seeing a high of 55.40%. Positive word of mouth is pushing the film towards a potentially historic first weekend.

Will Saiyaara Beat Housefull 5’s First Weekend?
Aksay Kumar starrer Housefull 5 currently holds the second-highest opening weekend record of 2025, crossing the Rs 50 crore milestone with ease. While Saiyaara is on a roll, beating Housefull 5 would require a massive Sunday jump, which seems challenging. It needs to cross Rs 87 cr mark today to break Housefull 5\’s record. Even if it doesn’t surpass Akshay’s HIT comedy, the debut film’s performance is impressive, especially when compared to other Gen-Z debutants.
Earlier this year, films like Loveyaapa (Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan) and Azaad (Rasha Thadani) failed to make a mark, collecting Rs 6.8 crore and Rs 6.5 crore in their lifetime runs, respectively. Vedang Raina’s Jigra (backed by Alia Bhatt’s star power) managed Rs 30 crore in three weeks, still far below Saiyaara’s two-day total.
Backed by YRF, Saiyaara is not only winning hearts with its fresh chemistry but is also proving to be a box office surprise of 2025.
