Coolie Vs War 2 Box Office Collection Day 11: Competition Over! Rajinikanth Starrer Rules, Hrithik Roshan’s Film Slumps, Lower Than War, Saiyaara

Rajinikanth’s Coolie dominates the box office with Rs 256.75 crore in 11 days, leaving Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 struggling at Rs 221 crore. The clash is no longer a competition as Coolie races ahead.

The box office clash between Coolie and War 2 has finally found its clear winner. On day 11, Rajinikanth’s mass entertainer continues to dominate, while Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s high-budget spy thriller struggles to keep up. What once promised to be one of the biggest cinematic battles of the year is no longer a competition.

Coolie Box Office Collection Day 11

Released on August 14, Coolie had sky-high expectations thanks to the combination of superstar Rajinikanth and director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The gangster drama opened to massive numbers and, despite a weekday slowdown, has picked up strong momentum again.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Coolie earned Rs 10.75 crore on its second Sunday. This is slightly higher than day 10, which stood at Rs 10.5 crore. The jump was powered by the weekend, giving the film renewed energy at the box office.

The film’s highest single-day collection still remains its opening day, which brought in a phenomenal Rs 65 crore. By the end of its first week, Coolie had collected Rs 229.65 crore. After 11 days, the film’s total stands at Rs 256.75 crore, crossing the coveted Rs 250 crore mark with ease.

War 2 Box Office Collection Day 11

On the other hand, War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, has failed to maintain the expected momentum. Despite a strong cast that includes Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, the film has slipped behind its rival.

As per early estimates, War 2 managed only Rs 6.50 crore on day 11, bringing its total to Rs 221 crore. While the film opened impressively with Rs 52 crore on day one and climbed further with Rs 57.85 crore on day two, the collections started falling soon after. The second Friday saw numbers drop to as low as Rs 4 crore, and the film has been on shaky ground since.

What makes matters worse is that War 2 is not just trailing Coolie but has also underperformed compared to its predecessor, War (2019). Adding to the disappointment, YRF’s recent release Saiyaara has shown better domestic earnings in the same time frame.

With Param Sundari set to release on August 29, War 2 has very little time left to improve its collections. Industry experts suggest that the film is unlikely to recover, and its steep decline is a major setback for YRF’s ambitious spy universe.

About Coolie And War 2

Coolie follows the story of Deva (Rajinikanth), a former union leader who seeks justice after the sudden death of his friend Rajasekhar (Sathyaraj). His search for answers pits him against gangster Simon (Nagarjuna) and his ruthless ally Dayal (Soubin Shahir). The film combines high-octane action with strong emotional drama, making it a crowd-puller.

Meanwhile, War 2 picks up after the events of Siddharth Anand’s War (2019). Kabir (Hrithik Roshan) is now a suspected rogue agent, hunted by Vikram (Jr NTR) and Kavya (Kiara Advani), while Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor play crucial roles. The film also features a mid-credits cameo by Bobby Deol, tying it further into the YRF Spy Universe that includes Pathaan and Tiger.
