Punjab Police: In a major breakthrough against cross-border arms smuggling, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police arrested Amit Singh, a resident of Guru Ki Wadali, Chheharta, and recovered five Glock pistols, four magazines, and a motorcycle from his possession.

According to Punjab Police DGP, the preliminary investigation revealed that Amit Singh, along with his associate Gurpreet Singh alias Ginny, was in direct touch with Pakistan-based smugglers. These smugglers were attempting to push weapon consignments into Punjab with the intent of disturbing peace and harmony in the state.
Officials said the timely arrest has helped unearth the network and avert a major crime in the region. More arrests and recoveries are expected in the coming days as investigations progress.
