Expensive Gold ‘Kalash’ Worth Crores Stolen From Red Fort Premises During Jain Ceremony, Thief Captured On Cam – Video Goes Viral!

A gold Kalash worth crores was stolen during a Jain ceremony at the Red Fort in Delhi. CCTV footage and a viral video have captured the thief, and police have identified the suspect.

A shocking theft occurred at the Red Fort in Delhi during a Jain religious ceremony when a gold Kalash (studded with diamonds and emeralds) was stolen. Weighing around 760 grams and worth crores of rupees, the Kalash was taken in front of attendees. CCTV footage captured the thief, and police have already identified the suspect. An arrest is expected soon.

Businessman Sudhir Jain, who brought the jewel-studded Kalash for daily worship, was hosting the ritual at the Red Fort. Police said, “Last Tuesday, it disappeared from the stage in the middle of the program. The suspect’s activities have been captured in CCTV footage.” Investigations are ongoing to ensure the thief is caught.

Viral Video Reveals Theft In Red Fort Premises

The viral video shows the suspect carefully removing the Kalash while people were focused on the rituals. Authorities are studying the footage and witness accounts to track the thief’s movements before and after the incident. Police noted that an arrest could happen soon and revealed, “The suspect’s activities are being closely studied.”

Another Gold Theft Case In Delhi

In a separate incident, Delhi Police arrested a habitual thief, Sonu Chan, involved in stealing gold biscuits worth lakhs from a metro passenger. The theft happened in July at Raja Garden Metro station when Amit Santra reported that 141.670 grams of gold biscuits were taken from his bag.

Sonu Chan (29) was caught with 3 3 lakh in suspected stolen money. Police said he is a repeat offender connected to a wider network of gold thieves. He admitted to selling the stolen gold and hiding the proceeds at his Delhi home. Investigations into his links in the gold trade are still ongoing.
