About The Film

Mirai is inspired by myth and prophecy. The story revolves around nine sacred scriptures from Emperor Ashoka’s era that hold the power to make mortals god-like. These scriptures are guarded by a secret warrior clan called the Yodhas. On the other side, the Black Sword group led by Mahabir Lama (Manchu Manoj) is after them to create chaos. Teja Sajja plays Vedha Prajapati, a young man destined to wield a divine staff called Mirai. His journey is about fulfilling the prophecy, protecting the scriptures, and saving the world from a dark fate.

The film is directed and shot by Karthik Gattamneni, who is known for his work on big productions like Eagle. It is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory. The cast includes Teja Sajja, Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran as Vedha’s mother Ambika, Jagapathi Babu, and Jayaram. Music is by Gowra Hari, while editing is done by National Award winner A. Sreekar Prasad.

Mirai runs for 169 minutes, which is almost 2 hours and 49 minutes. The CBFC has given it a U/A certificate, making it suitable for family audiences with parental guidance. The film is packed with visual effects, large-scale action scenes, and strong mythological elements. Parts of the movie were shot in the Himalayas, where the team worked in tough conditions to bring authenticity to the visuals.

Mounted on a massive budget of around Rs 60 crore, Mirai is considered Teja Sajja’s most ambitious project. A major chunk of the investment was recovered through satellite, OTT, and music rights even before release. The film is now out in theatres worldwide from September 12, 2025, across multiple languages. For the Hindi market, Dharma Productions is handling the distribution. After the theatrical run, the movie is expected to stream on JioHotstar.
