About Zubeen Garg And His Death Investigation
Born in Tura, Meghalaya, Zubeen Garg was a multi-talented artist. He was a singer, composer, lyricist, music director, producer, actor, film director, screenwriter, and philanthropist. He was widely recognised as a cultural icon in Assam and beyond, known for his Assamese, Bengali, and Hindi songs.
Zubeen rose to fame with Ya Ali from Gangster and later delivered several hit tracks, including Dil Tu Hi Bataa from Krrish 3, starring Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut. In addition to Bollywood, he made significant contributions to Assamese cinema as a singer, actor, and director. His notable works include Kanchanjangha, Mission China, Dinabandhu, and Mon Jai.
Following Zubeen Garg’s sudden demise, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to look into the case. He stated that “no one will be spared” if found guilty. Reports indicate that Zubeen suffered an epileptic seizure, and Singapore authorities later confirmed drowning as the cause of death.
