Pawan Singh NOT Fighting Bihar Elections, Netizens Joke ‘Jab Ladne Ke Liye Patni Ho Toh…’

Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh confirms he is not fighting Bihar elections, sparking funny and curious reactions from fans and netizens online. Check out!

Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh has finally put the rumours about his political debut in Bihar to rest. On Saturday, he clarified that he will not contest the upcoming assembly elections. He called himself a “true soldier” of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Sharing a photo with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Singh, who is from the Rajput community, made it clear that joining the BJP was never about fighting elections. He wrote in Hindi, “I, Pawan Singh, want to inform my Bhojpuri community that I did not join the party to contest the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections, nor do I intend to contest the assembly elections. I am a true soldier of the party and will remain one.”

Internet Flooded With Reactions After Pawan Singh Informs About NOT Contesting Bihar Elections

Even after his clarification, netizens had a lot to say. Many shared their thoughts with humour. Check out some online user reactions below:

“So then, what was the main reason for joining the party?”

“Chunav nahi ladna toh party mein kaddu bone ke liye gaye ho?”

“Jab ladne ke liye apke pass patni ho toh chunav ladne ki kya zarurat.”

“Aap to ticket diiwate hai dusre ko….ab aapka apna hi ticket kat gya.”

“Party join nahi kiya aur party ke sache sipahi bhi ban gye.”

“Sidha boliye na sir ki ticket nahi mil paya hai.”

“Haar gye mehraru se.”

“2024 mein Loksabha kahein lade the? Kya us samay BJP ke sacche sipahi nahi the?”

Rumours about Singh entering Bihar politics had been circulating for weeks. Last month, he met senior BJP leaders, including party president and Union Minister JP Nadda. Reports also suggested he had a meeting with Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) president Kushwaha, who lost the 2024 Lok Sabha elections after contesting as an independent from Karakat.

Singh’s political journey has had its ups and downs. During the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had fielded him from West Bengal’s Asansol, but later asked him to withdraw. This happened after controversy over his music video and songs that were criticised for portraying Bengali women in a vulgar way. He was also suspended from the party for anti-party activities after contesting against Kushwaha from Karakat.

Pawan’s Wife Jyoti Singh To Contest Elections?

Meanwhile, Singh’s wife (Jyoti Singh) grabbed media attention when she met Prashant Kishor (founder of Jan Suraaj) in Patna on Friday. There were reports she might contest the Bihar polls. However, Kishor clarified to PTI, “Let me make it very clear that contesting elections or getting a party ticket is not her intention. She came to explain the difficulties she is currently going through.”

Jyoti has reportedly reached out to several leaders amid growing marital tensions after visiting Pawan Singh at his Lucknow flat.

Singh also addressed rumours about police involvement, saying on social media, “Would I hurt the feelings of the public, who have helped me reach this position? The truth is police were already present at my house to ensure nothing untoward happened. No one was called against her.”
