The state government has decided that rice millers will receive 3% reimbursement for milling hybrid paddy and 1% reimbursement for milling non-hybrid paddy. This initiative will be fully funded by the Uttar Pradesh government from its budget.

He added that this decision will motivate rice mills to process non-hybrid paddy purchased from government procurement centers, promoting balance and efficiency in the state’s agricultural ecosystem.
The initiative underscores the government’s larger mission to enhance agricultural productivity, ensure fair returns to farmers, and strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s position as an agrarian powerhouse.
