The Punjab Police, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has completed 260 days of its intensive anti-drug mission ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’. The campaign continues to maintain momentum across the state with sustained raids, search operations, and awareness initiatives aimed at curbing drug trafficking and promoting a drug-free lifestyle among the youth.

According to the latest update, Punjab Police conducted raids at 298 locations across the state, resulting in the arrest of 72 drug traffickers. With this, the total number of arrests made during the 260-day campaign has reached an impressive 36,855, reflecting the administration’s firm stance against drug networks.

The mission focuses not only on dismantling supply chains but also on spreading awareness and preventive measures to safeguard communities. The government has repeatedly emphasized the collective responsibility of citizens in building a drug-free Punjab.

Officials stated that the ongoing mission is being closely monitored at the highest levels of the state government, ensuring that every district maintains strict vigilance. Special teams have been deployed to track inter-state drug routes, and technological tools such as drone surveillance, digital tracking, and data analysis are being used to identify hotspots and repeat offenders.
The Punjab government under CM Bhagwant Mann has also directed police units to work in coordination with rehabilitation centres so that former addicts receive timely support, helping them reintegrate into society.
