The first look poster of Naga Chaitanya starrer upcoming mystical thriller Vrushakarma was released on Sunday. The poster was unveiled by Mahesh Babu on Chaitanya’s birthday, giving fans double the reason to celebrate.

Naga Chaitanya Looks Unrecognisable In Vrushakarma Poster

Also known as NC24, the film marks a new chapter in Chaitanya’s career. The first look shows him in a gritty and action-ready avatar, holding a rod with a fierce expression. The dusty backdrop and old structures add to the raw, edgy feel. Fans have noticed his complete transformation, which shows his muscular body in a torn T-shirt and a stylish new haircut.

Mahesh Babu shared the poster on social media and wrote, “Wishing you a very Happy Birthday @chay_akkineni #VrushaKarma looks super solid… looking forward to this.”

Reacting to the first look poster, a user said, “Babu always supports talent.” Another user commented, “After overdose of action movies, it’s going to be Overdose of Mythical thriller now.” A third user called it “Disaster.”

More About Vrushakarma

The film stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead and Sparsh Shrivastava, known from Laapataa Ladies, as the antagonist. Produced by BVSN Prasad and Sukumar B, the team includes Ragul D Herian on cinematography and Ajaneesh B. Loknath handling the music. Production design is by Sri Nagendra Tangala, with editing by Naveen Nooli. The movie is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 120 crore.

Vrushakarma promises a combination of mythology, fantasy and action drama. Sources suggest the story will blend ancient prophecy, royal bloodlines and destiny, all set against a modern backdrop. This offers a fresh experience for Chaitanya’s fans and adds curiosity around the project.

Naga Chaitanya Was Last Seen In Thandel

Chaitanya’s last theatrical release was Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, where he starred alongside Sai Pallavi. The film was inspired by real events involving fishermen captured by Pakistani forces. Thandel earned Rs 66.06 crore net in India and Rs 88.89 crore worldwide. Despite a strong opening, the collections slowed after the first week, and the film recovered only around 87% of its Rs 75 crore budget, resulting in a loss.
