Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 16: Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is showing no signs of slowing down at the Indian box office. On Day 16, the film delivered a massive surprise by recording a sharp jump in collections on its third Saturday. This strong surge helped the film cross the Rs 500 crore mark in India and set new records along the way.
What makes the performance more impressive is the timing. Dhurandhar held firm despite the arrival of James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, one of the biggest Hollywood releases of the year. While the global giant opened to strong buzz, it failed to dent the momentum of the Aditya Dhar-directed thriller in India.

After earning Rs 22.50 crore on Friday, its lowest single-day figure so far, Dhurandhar bounced back in style on Saturday. The film collected around Rs 33.5 crore on Day 16. This marks a huge 49% growth in daily earnings.
The surge was driven by a clear rise in footfall. Morning show occupancy jumped to around 32%, compared to 16% on Friday. The trend stayed strong through afternoon shows as well. According to Sacnilk estimates, the Day 16 haul pushed the film’s total India net collection to Rs 516.5 crore.
In its first 15 days, Dhurandhar had already earned Rs 483 crore. The third-Saturday boost has now given the film fresh legs in its third week.
Dhurandhar Breaks Records Held By Chhaava, Pushpa 2 And Jawan
With this performance, Dhurandhar has delivered the highest third-Saturday collection in Indian box office history. The previous record was held by Chhaava with Rs 22 crore, followed by Pushpa 2 at Rs 20 crore. Both films later went on to become all-time blockbusters.
The Ranveer Singh starrer has also entered the Rs 500 crore club at record speed. It achieved the milestone in just 16 days, making it the second fastest Indian film to do so. Only Pushpa 2, which reached the mark in 11 days, is ahead.
Among Hindi films, Dhurandhar is now the fastest to cross Rs 500 crore, beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which took 18 days. In the process, it has officially broken one of SRK’s major box office records.
Dhurandhar Box Office Collection – On Track To Beat THESE Highest Grossers
With its current pace, Dhurandhar is closing in on some of the biggest domestic grossers of all time. These include Gadar 2 (Rs 525 crore), Pathaan (Rs 543 crore), and Animal (Rs 553 crore).
Trade analysts believe the film could cross several of these milestones by Sunday night itself. After that, it may aim for the top three Hindi films in India — Stree 2 (Rs 598 crore), Chhaava (Rs 601 crore), and Jawan (Rs 640 crore). There is also strong industry chatter about Dhurandhar making a serious push towards the Rs 700 crore mark, a feat no Hindi film has achieved so far.

About This Ranveer Singh Starrer
Released on December 5, 2025, Dhurandhar is an epic espionage thriller inspired by the career of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. The story is set in the late 1990s and early 2000s and follows IB chief Ajay Sanyal, who recruits a volatile prisoner, Jaskirat Singh Rangi, for a covert mission in Pakistan.
Ranveer Singh plays Jaskirat, who infiltrates Karachi’s underworld under the alias Hamza. R. Madhavan stars as Ajay Sanyal, while Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun round out the ensemble cast.
