The Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab unit has drawn a sharp contrast between previous governments and the present Bhagwant Mann-led administration, asserting that years of corruption have been replaced by visible development on the ground. In a post shared by AAP Punjab, the party highlighted the transformation of the state’s road infrastructure under the Mann government, calling the difference “clearly visible” to the public.
From Corruption to Connectivity
According to the party, Punjab has witnessed unprecedented progress through 44,920 kilometres of road projects, which are aimed at improving connectivity, safety and economic activity across urban and rural areas. The government maintains that these projects are not limited to patchwork repairs, but include comprehensive road strengthening, widening, resurfacing and long-pending connectivity upgrades.
Bhagwant Mann Government Highlights Massive Road Push in Punjab
AAP leaders claim that poor-quality roads and stalled projects were a hallmark of earlier regimes due to corruption and mismanagement. In contrast, the current government says it is focusing on transparent execution, strict quality checks and time-bound completion to ensure long-lasting infrastructure.
The improved road network is expected to boost trade, reduce travel time, support farmers and small businesses, and enhance access to education and healthcare, especially in remote areas. The Mann government has repeatedly stated that infrastructure development is central to its vision of a modern, growth-oriented Punjab.
