The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana is one of the Central Government’s flagship welfare schemes aimed at providing direct financial support to farmers across India. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually, transferred directly to their bank accounts in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each.
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: When Will the 22nd Installment Be Released?
So far, 21 installments have been released under the PM-KISAN scheme. The latest installment was disbursed on November 19, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 21st installment from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. During this phase, nearly ₹18,000 crore was credited to the bank accounts of more than 9 crore farmers across the country.
According to official government data, since the launch of the scheme, farmers have received over ₹4 lakh crore in total financial assistance. This has made PM-KISAN one of the largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes in the world, significantly strengthening income support for small and marginal farmers.
When Is the 22nd Installment Expected?
Reports suggest that the 22nd installment of PM-KISAN is likely to be released in February 2026, although the government has not yet announced an official date. As per the scheme’s structure, farmers receive ₹2,000 every four months, covering the periods April–July, August–November, and December–March.
Who Is Eligible for PM-KISAN?
The benefit is available only to Indian citizens who own cultivable agricultural land and are not income tax payers. Individuals receiving a monthly pension of more than ₹10,000, along with certain institutional landholders, are excluded from the scheme.
The PM-KISAN Yojana continues to play a crucial role in supporting farmers’ livelihoods and ensuring timely financial assistance, especially during critical agricultural seasons.
