The drive remains a key pillar of the Punjab government’s push towards a Nasha Mukt Punjab.

According to official information shared by Punjab Police, on the 298th day of the campaign, raids were conducted at 334 locations across Punjab, resulting in the arrest of 122 drug traffickers. These operations were carried out simultaneously in multiple districts, targeting suppliers, peddlers and key links in the drug distribution network.

122 Drug Smugglers Arrested in Fresh Crackdown

With the latest action, the total number of drug smugglers arrested during the 298-day-long campaign has reached 41,639, highlighting the scale of the ongoing enforcement drive. Police officials said the consistent pressure has helped disrupt supply chains and weaken organized drug networks operating in the state.

Along with enforcement, Punjab Police has also been focusing on preventive measures and public awareness, encouraging youth to stay away from drugs and involving local communities in the fight against substance abuse. Awareness programmes, counselling initiatives and coordination with civil society groups continue to form an important part of the mission.

The Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards drugs, stating that the campaign will continue with the same intensity in the coming days.
