During the meeting, Vijay revealed the party symbol, a whistle, which was officially allocated by the Election Commission. TVK cadres welcomed him with loud whistles, prompting the star to smile broadly while covering his ears. Later, after unveiling the symbol, Vijay joined in the cheering by whistling himself.

The actor also referenced his famous dialogue from the 2019 blockbuster Bigil and said, “Cup mukkiyam Bigil” (The cup is important Bigil). This means that he is focused on achieving his political goals. His use of the dialogue was met with loud cheers and applause.

Vijay Speaks On Pressure And Political Ambitions

Thalapathy Vijay made his debut as a lead actor in the 1992 film Naalaiya Theerpu, after appearing as a child actor in several Tamil films. His final film Jana Nayagan was stalled due to a delay in censor certification by the CBFC. He was also questioned twice by the CBI in New Delhi regarding the tragic Karur stampede in September 2025, which claimed at least 41 lives and injured around 100 people.

Addressing his cadres, Vijay emphasised his determination, saying, “For 30 years, these parties have underestimated us, but the people have given me this position at the peak of my career.” Calling the upcoming elections a “democratic war,” he added, “We do not bow down to any pressure. Does this face look like it would succumb to pressure?” This hinted that he plans to contest independently, without forming any alliances.
