Priyanka Chopra Daughter: Why Malti Marie’s Arrival SHOCKED Varanasi Actress And Husband Nick Jonas? Singer Says ‘Was Frightening To See…’

Nick Jonas has shared details about the difficult birth of daughter Malti Marie and the intense weeks spent in the NICU. He revealed how the experience deeply affected both him and Priyanka Chopra.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas often talk about the happiness their daughter Malti Marie has brought into their lives. However, the couple has now shared that her arrival was not easy. For the first time, Nick Jonas has spoken in detail about the frightening days surrounding Malti’s birth.

Speaking on the Jay Shetty Podcast, Nick revealed that Malti Marie Chopra Jonas was born prematurely. Her early arrival came as a shock to both parents, as they were expecting her much later. Instead, they were suddenly faced with a serious medical situation.

Nick shared that Malti weighed just 1 pound 11 ounces at birth and needed immediate care. Recalling the moment, he said she was “purple basically” when she was born. Due to complications linked to her premature birth, Malti required six blood transfusions and was placed under constant observation in the neonatal intensive care unit.

Soon, the couple’s life revolved around hospital visits and medical routines. Malti spent several weeks in the NICU, where doctors closely monitored her condition. Each day brought fresh worries, but also small signs of progress as she slowly gained strength.

Why Malti Marie’s Birth Shocked Priyanka Chopra And Nick Jonas

Nick Jonas revealed that Malti’s arrival was completely unexpected. The couple had been preparing for her birth in April 2022, but events unfolded much earlier than planned. Looking back, Nick said, “She came into the world under very intense circumstances, which I’ve never really talked about.”

The situation became even more difficult because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Hospital rules were strict, and family support was limited. Despite this, Nick and Priyanka stayed close to their daughter at all times. They took turns spending 12-hour shifts at the hospital to make sure Malti was never alone.

He said, “It was both comforting and frightening to be there every day and to see other families going through a similar situation.” Watching other newborns struggle in the NICU was emotionally heavy, but it also reminded them that they were not alone.

Nick On Life In The Hospital And Malti’s Recovery

Nick described the experience as deeply emotional. Their days were filled with medical updates, quiet moments by Malti’s side and constant hope. The couple had to be patient, knowing that recovery for a premature baby takes time.

Gradually, Malti began to stabilise. With the support of doctors and nurses, she gained weight and responded well to treatment. After nearly three and a half months of continuous care, Nick and Priyanka were finally able to bring her home.

Reflecting on that phase, Nick spoke about Malti’s strength and resilience. He shared how humbling it was to witness her progress and expressed gratitude towards the hospital staff who supported them during the crisis.

Today, Malti Marie is healthy and doing well. While the memories of her early days remain intense, they also remind the couple of how far they have come together as a family.
