Pakistan Afghanistan War: The Baloch National Movement (BNM) has condemned the airstrikes by Pakistan on Afghanistan. It was alleged by BNM that Pakistan targeted civilian population of Afghanistan in the guise of a targeted attack on terrorists.
Pakistan Afghanistan War: Why It Started?
Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif remarked that the country has initiated powerful airstrikes against Afghanistan as it has now run out with patience with the country’s Taliban authorities.
On Friday, it was alleged by Pakistani officials that Afghan forces had attacked several Pakistani military installations close to the Durand Line. This prompted Asim Munir‘s military forces to initiate airstrikes on targets in Kabul and many other cities of Afghanistan.
A spokesperson for the BNM remarked that the attacks by Pakistan translate to a direct assault on the territorial integrity, sovereignty and freedom of Afghanistan. In another development, Turkish foreign minister Hakan Fidan has entered into several rounds of discussions with Pakistan, Qatar, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan termed the attack as Operation Ghazab lil Haq that translates to “righteous fury”.
According to media reports, the nuclear installation in Pakistan has been severely hit. It seems that the Pakistan Afghanistan war would hurt Pakistan more than it would hurt Afghanistan.
China, a long-time ally of Pakistan, has urged both nations to enter into a ceasefire. The country expressed its deep shock and sadness by the massive count of casualties caused by the Pakistan Afghanistan War.
Foreign ministry spokesperson, Mao Ning, remarked that China is open to playing a constructive role to initiate a ceasefire.
Russia has also asked both Pakistan and Afghanistan to end the war and go into a ceasefire. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has remarked that direct military clashes between the two countries should stop immediately.
UN Human Rights Chief Volker Türk called for an immediate dialogue between Afghanistan and Pakistan to put an immediate end to the war.
