Daily wage workers have been the worst hit with many claiming that they have been visiting gas agency godowns for several days but unable to book a gas cylinder.

The LPG shortage crisis went all out in full public view after the Union Government put a stop on the sale and distribution of commercial cylinders across the country, forcing many small eateries, hotels and restaurants to temporarily close down or trim their food menus. However, what originally started as a shortage of commercial gas cylinders soon snowballed into a massive problem impacting domestic LPG consumers as well.

Endless Queues For Hours

In recent days, the mandatory online booking systems of gas agencies have been experiencing major challenges, leaving millions unable to book LPG cylinder bookings. This has forced people to stand in endless queues for hours at gas agency offices and godowns. The growing frustration over the inability to book a gas cylinder has resulted in frequent fights between gas agency employees and citizens.
